The palace of the Mogho Naba in Ouagadougou. We notice that per the description by the French in the caption, it is not a palace but a house. The Mogho Naba is not a King but a “chief”; the same way our languages are dialects and our peoples are tribes. All this colonial lexicon, applied until today, has been purposefully used to demean us as human beings, a status even denied to us in the eyes of the dominant system.
