The Bamun Sultans’ palace, completed in 1917. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is still the home of the king.
The architecture is original. We notice the symmetry, the harmony, as well as the work on the vaults. The Bamun had no experience about permanent construction before this palace. So here, we realize all the ingenuity of King Njoya. This work displays accuracy. It probably took the use of mathematics to achieve this result.
