If you were able to watch Avatar in a theater with 3D glasses, all the credit goes to this man.
Born in New York, Kenneth Dunkley is currently the CEO of Laboratories Inc. Holospace in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Above all, he is well known for he has invented three dimension glasses. His invention has enabled an evolution from an ordinary sight of a 2 dimensional picture (top to bottom and left to right) to 3 dimensional sight (top to bottom, left to right, front to back) with no lens, mirror, nor optical elements. Through studying human’s sight, Dunkley discovered that blocking two points in the peripheral sight of a person makes an ordinary picture appear in 3D. The concept of glasses lies on the fact of blocking those points. The patent of that invention was published on March 7, 1989 in the United States.
Aside his 3D glasses, Kenneth Dunkley is given attention for his efforts as a visual pioneer. In the museum of scientific discovery of Harrisburg in Pennsylvania, he directed visual effect workshops for four years. He is also a leader in the field of holography (optical illusion).
